Lebanon, New Hampshire
Lebanon Rotary Club
As part of their commitment to enhancing the quality of life within the community, the Lebanon Rotary Club has embarked on the development of a series of public open spaces. Titled the “String of Pearls,” the effort has sparked the redevelopment of several parks and open spaces within the City.
Bakers Crossing Conservation Area provided the club with a unique opportunity to enhance a point along the Mascoma popular with anglers and kayakers. Access and parking was improved plus a picnic area and overlooked was constructed to capture a view of a restored covered bridge. Interpretive signage tells a story of the unique natural and cultural history of the area.
