Colburn Hill
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Lebanon, New Hampshire
In 1997 Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center acquired 11.68 acres along Mount Support Road in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Referred to as the Colburn Hill property, the acquisition afforded the Hospital an opportunity for the immediate development of much needed office space and medical record storage. In 2003, the Hospital acquired two additional parcels adjacent to the Colburn Hill property. These additional properties offered opportunity for potential expansion but perhaps more importantly, an opportunity to accommodate the ever-increasing demand for on-site parking.
In March of 2004 Saucier + Flynn, Landscape Architects and Fleck and Lewis, Architects were commissioned to develop a conceptual master plan to guide the build out of the Colburn Hill properties. The conceptual master plan addressed the expansion of office space, maximization of on-site parking, acquisition of additional property and the potential development of an 80-bed hotel/hostel to support the Medical Center.
