Campus Planning

The mere formulation of a problem is far more essential than its solution, which may be merely a matter of mathematical or experimental skills. To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle requires creative imagination and marks real advances in science. —Albert Einstein

Campus Planning is important because it forces us to ask questions. If the questions are insightful and the dialogue honest we gain an understanding of how the campus evolved, of its current condition and of those inherent attributes that are critical to the preservation of campus character and identity, yet successfully inform the future organization and development of the campus.

The Master Plan is important because it enables us to take that critical first step in the right direction and that in and of itself, is a significant accomplishment.
